Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on delivering high-quality dental services across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Candidates with experience in dental assisting, familiarity with EMR systems and knowledge of HIPAA regulations will thrive in this position. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining infection control standards, managing medical documentation, and supporting both clinical and administrative functions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies for patient procedures
- Assist dentists during various dental treatments including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols
- Record vital signs, medical history, and other patient information accurately within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Manage medical imaging and utilize 3D scanners when applicable for comprehensive diagnostics
- Ensure infection control standards are maintained throughout all clinical activities
- Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health practices
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Uphold professional knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate effective communication within the team
POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: At least 12 months of experience
What's needed:
- Certificate: Dental Radiological Certificate & Dental Assistant Certificate
- Current BLS and or/CPR card
- Three recommendations attesting to clinical skills. At least one must be supervisor.
- Must complete all VA educational requirements and mandatory course, meet health screening requirements

Comp $22.24 + H&W $5.09
Pay: $22.34 - $27.43 per hour
