D&M Medical Supply is looking for a dependable, customer-focused DME Delivery Technician to join our growing team. What You'll Do
- Deliver, set up, and retrieve durable medical equipment (DME) at patients' homes, and assisted living communities.
- Instruct patients and caregivers on the safe use, operation, and basic maintenance of equipment, including wheelchairs, hospital beds, walkers, patient lifts, oxygen equipment, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and other medical equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is assembled, adjusted, tested, and functioning properly before leaving the patient's location.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including patient signatures, delivery tickets, and electronic documentation.
- Maintain a professional, compassionate, and courteous attitude while representing the company.
- Follow HIPAA regulations and protect patient confidentiality at all times.
- Perform basic equipment cleaning, disinfection, inspection, and minor repairs according to company procedures.
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload medical equipment using company vehicles.
- Coordinate with customer service, billing, and clinical staff regarding deliveries and patient needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds safely (with assistance or equipment when appropriate).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, or mobile applications for electronic documentation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering durable medical equipment, home medical equipment, or healthcare products.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience assembling equipment.
- CPR certification (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medi-Cal, or healthcare documentation is a plus.
