Duties
- Prepare and assemble deli products, including slicing meats and cheeses with precision and care
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and upselling items to enhance sales
- Ensure the deli area is attractive and well-stocked throughout the day
- Assist with food handling duties like packaging, wrapping, and labeling products efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Skills
- Experience or interest in food preparation, food service, or retail environments such as grocery stores or quick service restaurants
- Strong knowledge or ability to learn food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus; serving or restaurant experience highly valued for delivering top-tier customer interactions
