Arkansas Talent Group is seeking an experienced Accountantto join an established and reputable marketing company in Little Rock, AR. This is a contract assignment with strong potential to convert to a permanent position for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who is also comfortable wearing an HR hat in a smaller, close-knit team environment.
About the Role
The Accountant will own full-cycle accounting functions while also supporting core HR operations for the organization. This hybrid position is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys being a trusted resource across departments, and wants the stability of an established local company with room to grow into a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting

Manage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end close

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements

Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with leadership

Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

Support audit preparation and respond to ad hoc financial reporting requests
HR Support

Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee terminations/offboarding

Administer employee benefits enrollment and serve as a point of contact for benefits questions

Process payroll accurately and on schedule

Support HR compliance efforts, including maintaining required documentation and staying current on applicable employment regulations

Assist with maintaining personnel files and HR recordkeeping best practices
What We're Looking For

Proven experience with full-cycle accounting, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting

Working knowledge of core HR functions: onboarding, offboarding, benefits coordination, payroll, and HR compliance

Familiarity with QuickBooks Online or Sage Intacct is a huge plus

Strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to manage competing priorities

Excellent communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally in a small-team setting

Prior experience in a marketing, agency, or professional services environment is a plus but not required
