Duties include but are not limited to:
- Routine Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned areas within the visitor center, focusing on high-traffic zones.
- Specialized Tasks: Perform tasks beyond general cleaning as required, including window washing, floor waxing, and furniture polishing.
- Emergency Clean-Up: Respond promptly to janitorial issues such as spills or unexpected messes to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Supply Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as necessary to ensure availability for all required tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and maintenance of a safe environment for visitors and staff.
- Inspection Participation: Assist in regular quality audits and inspections to ensure continuous adherence to cleanliness and operational standards.
- Customer Interaction: Provide a welcoming atmosphere through positive interactions with visitors and prompt assistance with directions or information.
- Event Assistance: Support setup, maintenance, and cleanup for special events, ensuring facilities are prepared and restored promptly.
- Feedback Contribution: Participate in the collection and review of customer feedback to help identify areas for service improvement.
- Reporting: Accurately log cleaning activities and issues encountered for daily reporting and contribute to monthly performance reviews.
Experience:
Basic Experience Requirements:
- Experience in janitorial services or a similar role.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques and usage of cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and chemical handling.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact positively with the public.
- Must be able to respond quickly to cleaning emergencies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings for special events.
