About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, high-energy, fast-learning Chiropractic Assistant and Limited (or Full) X-Ray Operator to join our dynamic team on-site. This unique role balances hands-on clinical patient care with critical administrative oversight, all within our Missoula clinic.
You will spend 3 days directly assisting the Doctor with patient care and diagnostic imaging, and 2 days completing patient charts, managing our Electronic Health Records (EHR), and coordinating our administrative workflow. Key Clinical Responsibilities (3 Days/Week)
- Safely position and capture precise digital spinal views, specifically including Cervical, Upper Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbo-Pelvic series.
- Perform targeted extremity X-rays as directed by the Doctor for sports injuries or extremity adjustments.
- Provide side-by-side assistance to the Doctor during patient visits, actively taking real-time clinical notes (scribing) during exams.
- Ensure impeccable radiation safety protocols and maintain a clean, efficient digital imaging suite.
- Keep the clinic flow moving rapidly, onboarding patients with a warm, uplifting attitude.
Key EHR & Administrative Responsibilities (2 Days/Week)
- Review, finalize, and wrap up the Doctor’s clinical notes within our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Serve as the on-site liaison for our third-party billing team (Olympus), utilizing a shared Daily Billing Log to ensure seamless communication.
- Manage local patient ledger balances, track pre-authorizations, and process incoming superbills.
- Handle specialized administrative follow-ups and ensure pristine patient records to support a clean billing cycle.
Required Qualifications & Licensure
- A valid Limited Permit X-Ray Operator License issued by the Montana Board of Radiologic Technologists (or active tracking with a pending state exam).
- Documented training proficiency in spinal imaging (Cervical/Upper Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbo-Pelvic regions).
- Exceptional computer literacy with the ability to quickly master new EHR and scheduling software interfaces.
- Exceptional processing speed—you must naturally work and think quickly under pressure.
