Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and ironing equipment efficiently to process hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry items.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling and maintenance of quality standards.
- Perform cleaning tasks including folding, ironing, stain removal, and packaging of linens to prepare them for distribution throughout the hotel.
- Follow safety protocols and proper chemical handling procedures when using cleaning agents or dry cleaning equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry loads processed and report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages promptly.
- Ensure all laundry areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with special cleaning requests such as dry cleaning or delicate fabric handling when needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, stain removal, and folding.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and quality control.
