Position: Data & Technology Integration Consultant
Reports to: Data & Technology Program Manager
Purpose of Position: The Data & Technology Integration Consultant is responsible for advancing Child Care Aware of Kansas’ data strategy through integrated technology solutions, data governance, analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. This position leads efforts to ensure accurate data collection, system integration, reporting consistency, and actionable insights that support data-informed decision-making across the organization.
The role combines data management, research, technology integration, systems optimization, and organizational collaboration to improve operational effectiveness, program outcomes, and strategic planning. The position serves as a key resource for developing reporting capabilities, maintaining database integrity, supporting continuous quality improvement efforts, and leveraging technology to enhance organizational impact.

Duties and Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Technology Integration
Lead the integration, maintenance, and optimization of organizational data systems, including WorkLife Systems (WLS) and other reporting platforms.
Develop and implement data collection standards, governance procedures, and quality assurance practices.
Design and manage automated reporting processes, dashboards, visualizations, and data workflows.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and program outcomes.
Utilize database tools, queries, and analytics platforms to support organizational reporting and strategic initiatives.
Monitor data systems to ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and compliance with organizational policies.
Support integration between databases, reporting tools, spreadsheets, and cloud-based systems.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to strengthen organizational data capabilities.
Data Analysis, Reporting & Business Intelligence
Analyze organizational and programmatic data to identify trends, outcomes, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop interactive dashboards, scorecards, geographic maps, and visual reports for leadership, staff, stakeholders, and partners.
Produce recurring and ad hoc reports in a timely manner using advanced reporting techniques and business intelligence tools.
Conduct data audits and validation processes to ensure reliability and consistency of reporting.
Support program evaluation efforts through data analysis and outcome measurement.
Develop predictive and trend-based reporting models that assist with organizational planning and decision-making.
Research & Strategic Initiatives
Research and produce reports, white papers, presentations, and publications related to early childhood and organizational priorities.
Conduct workforce and labor market analysis, community data assessments, and program evaluation initiatives.
Support strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives through actionable data insights.
Organizational Collaboration & Support
Collaborate with staff, CCR&R partners, and external stakeholders to support data collection, reporting consistency, and technology adoption.
Provide technical assistance, training, and guidance related to reporting tools, data systems, and analytics processes.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to improve organizational knowledge sharing and integrated service delivery.
Communicate insights and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Lead efforts to analyze organizational performance metrics and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
Create and monitor improvement plans based on data findings and organizational priorities.
Stay informed on current trends in data analytics, technology integration, business intelligence, and early childhood systems.
Support organizational innovation and a culture of data-informed decision-making.
Organizational Engagement & Professional Development
Participate in meetings, strategic planning efforts, reporting activities, and organizational initiatives that support agency goals.
Engage in cross-functional collaboration to strengthen integrated service delivery and organizational effectiveness.
Participate in professional development opportunities related to early childhood systems, data analytics, technology integration, family engagement, equity, leadership development, and industry best practices.
Apply knowledge gained through professional development to improve organizational services, reporting capabilities, and program outcomes.
Support a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.
Complete Required Agency Tasks
Submit internal and external reports in accordance with organizational policies, grant requirements, and reporting timelines.
Complete required administrative duties including timesheets, expense reports, meeting documentation, and other agency requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information related to clients, partners, staff, and organizational operations.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, data governance practices, and security standards in all work activities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Computer Applications, Statistics, Technology Management, or a related field preferred.
Associate degree with relevant professional experience may be considered.
Experience
Experience working with databases, reporting systems, dashboards, and data visualization platforms.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including advanced Excel functionality.
Experience integrating and analyzing data across multiple systems preferred.
Experience with nonprofit, human services, education, or early childhood systems preferred.
Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar platforms preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of data governance, reporting standards, and quality assurance practices.
Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings clearly.
Experience creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements
Valid Kansas driver’s license.
Must treat information on clients, staff, Board members, and organizational data in a confidential manner.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evening, weekend, and overnight travel.
