Optometric Technician (Tuesday–Saturday Schedule)
Join our patient-centered eye care team as an Ophthalmic Technician. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, compassionate professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting and enjoys working directly with patients.
What you’ll do
- Perform patient intake: histories, chief complaints, medications, allergies, and visual acuity
- Conduct diagnostic testing: tonometry, keratometry, autorefraction, OCT, topography, visual fields, fundus photos
- Assist with refractions and contact lens training
- Prepare exam rooms and instruments; perform lensometry and pupillary/extraocular muscle testing
- Scribe for the physician and document accurately in EHR
- Educate patients on treatments, drops, and post-visit instructions
Schedule
- Full-time, on-site
- Tuesday–Saturday
Qualifications
- 1+ year experience as an ophthalmic or optometric technician preferred (will train the right candidate)
- Familiarity with common diagnostics and ophthalmic equipment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer-service skills
- Comfort with EHR systems; accurate and efficient documentation
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
