Overview
Join our construction team as a Ready-Mix Truck Driver and become an essential part of building infrastructure that lasts! You will operate commercial trucks equipped with concrete mixers to deliver high-quality concrete materials. Our plants will sit on-site of the pours so driving will NOT require a CDL. The plants are mobile and will move job to job but will be located in Carnesville, GA for 18 months. Lodging and per-diem are provided.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with concrete mixers, asphalt pavers, and other heavy equipment to transport materials to construction sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and paving equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, safety protocols, and company policies during vehicle operation and material handling.
- Assist with the setup and operation of paving equipment, screeds, concrete pumps, and rebar installation as needed on construction projects.
- Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper mix ratios for concrete and asphalt deliveries.
- Collaborate with construction crews to coordinate delivery schedules, support concrete forming, paving, and concrete pumping activities.
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, equipment maintenance records, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Skills
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles in construction or civil infrastructure projects.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with concrete mixing, asphalt paving, screeds, rebar installation, and concrete forming techniques.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as loaders, paving machines, and concrete pumps safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations including DOT guidelines, safety protocol adherence, and construction site safety practices.
- Basic math skills for measuring materials accurately and calculating load capacities.
- Knowledge of construction site operations including working on civil infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, or utilities.
Pay: From $26.50 per hour
