Member Duties : Specific natural resource improvement activities can include managing invasive plant species, establishing native vegetative cover, restoring damaged or degraded habitats and ecosystems, adding or improving public educational and recreational greenspaces, litter and dumpsite cleanups, and urban reforestation (through the growth, distribution, and planting of nursery trees). Land stewardship activities can include natural resource monitoring and responsible management of working landscapes. Environmental education activities can include facilitating in- and after-school student programs, adult trainings and workshops, community events, and children’s camps. Capacity building activities can include volunteer recruitment and management, community relationship building, and developing new public outreach and environmental education initiatives.
