Lexington Memory Care is a resident-centered memory care community dedicated to supporting individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia in a safe, engaging, and homelike environment. Our housekeeping team plays a vital role in promoting resident health, dignity, and comfort by keeping all areas of the community clean, sanitary, and welcoming.
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment for residents, families, and team members throughout our community. This role helps prevent infection, supports resident well-being, and contributes to a warm, homelike atmosphere.
Clean resident apartments/rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to community standards and cleaning schedules.
Perform dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and surface disinfection in assigned areas.
Change bed linens and make beds; launder resident and community linens/towels as assigned.
Handle resident personal items and belongings respectfully, following lost-and-found and privacy practices.
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions and community policies.
Immediately report maintenance and safety concerns (e.g., spills, hazards, broken equipment) to the appropriate team member.
Follow infection control, standard precautions, and isolation procedures as directed.
Interact kindly and patiently with residents, including those living with dementia, offering assistance and courtesy during housekeeping tasks.
Support special cleaning projects and turn-over of rooms/apartments for new residents as needed.
