Duties
- Prepare and assemble bakery and deli items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales, cash handling, and managing customer orders efficiently
- Assist customers with food selections, answer questions about products, and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and display areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage food service customer orders accurately while ensuring quick turnaround times in a fast-paced setting
- Operate kitchen equipment safely for food preparation, including slicers, ovens, and warming stations
- Process cash transactions accurately and handle retail sales transactions with professionalism
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food handling, or culinary environments with a strong understanding of food safety management
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours without compromising quality or safety standards
- Knowledge of retail sales transactions, cashiering procedures, and cash register operations
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing inventory levels effectively
