About the Role
As a Shop Equipment Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational readiness and safety of heavy-duty lifting and transport machinery. You will utilize your expertise in hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical troubleshooting to minimize downtime and deliver high-quality repairs for our diverse fleet of equipment.
Responsibilities-
Execute complex repairs and diagnostic troubleshooting on articulating cranes, bucket trucks, forklifts, and heavy-duty trailers.

Drive equipment reliability by performing rigorous preventive maintenance and mandatory annual safety inspections.

Manage the full service lifecycle, including accurate documentation of work orders, parts procurement, and labor tracking.

Ensure optimal equipment performance by providing rapid-response troubleshooting for unscheduled mechanical failures.

Collaborate with management to communicate technical findings and recommend necessary component replacements.

Maintain a high standard of workplace safety and organization, adhering to all industry-specific regulatory requirements.
Qualifications-
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical repair, specifically with heavy equipment or lifting systems.

Advanced proficiency in hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, and welding techniques.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs, in varied shop environments.

Basic computer literacy for documentation and service software usage.

Must possess a personal set of standard hand tools.

Prior experience with DOT inspection protocols and standards.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex electrical and hydraulic schematics.
