Rettig Music is a full-service retail music store dedicated to supporting musicians at every level. We work closely with school music programs, parents, and students to provide top-quality musical instruments, accessories, and exceptional customer service.
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dependable full time and part time Retail Sales/Office Associates with a music background (band or orchestra) and retail or sales experience. This is a permanent, year-round position and is not a summer-only or seasonal role. In this role, you'll help customers find the right musical instruments and accessories, provide expert support, and assist in day-to-day store operations. Your ability to connect with musicians, educators, and families will m ake a lasting impact in our community.
Customer & Sales Responsibilities:
- Engage customers with knowledgeable, friendly, and professional presentations of our products and services.
- Support school music programs through regular communication with music educators, parents, and students
- Answer questions and assist customers in-store, over the phone, and via email
Operational & Office Tasks;
- Assist with merchandising and inventory
- Daily paperwork & transactions
Qualifications:
- Band and/or orchestra experience is required (woodwind, brass, strings, or percussion).
- Minimum 1 year retail, customer service, or sales experience required
- Some college education preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Energetic, outgoing personality with a passion for music and people
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
