About Us
ServiceMaster Commercial Cleaning is a locally owned commercial cleaning company serving the Fredericksburg and Northern Virginia region. We provide janitorial services to schools, universities, government facilities, and institutional clients — currently supporting around 40 client accounts with a team of about 75 employees.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Janitorial Manager to oversee day-to-day cleaning operations across our client accounts. You'll manage crews, ensure quality and consistency across sites, and serve as a key point of contact between our team and our clients. This role requires flexibility — schedules may include evenings, early mornings, or weekends depending on client site needs.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and support janitorial staff across multiple client locations
- Schedule, train, and evaluate cleaning crews to maintain high service standards
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks
- Manage supplies, equipment, and inventory across accounts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client site managers, addressing concerns quickly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and cleaning protocols, especially for government, school, and institutional facilities
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff training
- Step in to cover shifts or resolve issues as needed across a flexible schedule
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities management
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team across multiple sites
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with a flexible schedule, including evenings, early mornings, or weekends as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between sites
- Experience working with government, school, or institutional accounts a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
