We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Host/Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. This hybrid role is essential to ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience for our guests—from the moment they are greeted at the door to the delivery of their meals and attentive table service. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage seating using reservation systems like OpenTable, and ensure accurate wait times.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring orders are accurate and presentation standards are upheld.
- Provide exceptional table service, including taking orders, making recommendations, and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Assist with running food and beverages from the kitchen to guests, ensuring efficiency and communication with the kitchen team.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining and host area, including clearing and resetting tables as needed.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS for taking orders, processing payments, and communicating with the kitchen.
- Engage with guests to enhance their overall experience, resolve concerns promptly, and ensure satisfaction.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Collaborate closely with fellow staff members to maintain smooth operations during shifts.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service industry is highly preferred, especially in fast-paced or fine dining settings.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to balance hosting, serving, and food running duties.
- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Aloha POS) and reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when handling orders, serving food, and managing seating arrangements.
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially during peak hours.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
