Full-Time Floor Supervisor
Location: Oakland or Richmond, CA

Pay: $20.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and customer-focused Floor Supervisor to help lead the daily operations of our cannabis retail team.
The Floor Supervisor supports store management by overseeing floor operations, providing real-time coaching and direction to team members, maintaining excellent customer service, and ensuring employees follow company policies, operational procedures, and applicable cannabis regulations.
This position may act as the Manager on Duty when designated and assists with opening, closing, cash management, employee breaks, customer concerns, and overall shift execution.
Candidates must be willing and able to work at either our Oakland or Richmond location based on business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support store management in overseeing daily retail operations and ensuring smooth, efficient shift execution.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to Budtenders and other retail team members during assigned shifts.
- Create a positive and effective work environment through clear communication, respectful coaching, and timely feedback.
- Recognize strong employee performance and provide constructive coaching when improvement is needed.
- Communicate employee performance, attendance, conduct, and operational concerns to store management.
- Act as Manager on Duty when assigned or when members of the management team are unavailable.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure team members consistently meet customer service expectations.
- Assist with escalated customer questions, concerns, and complaints in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
- Maintain and enforce company standards, policies, and operating procedures.
- Help ensure compliance with all applicable state and local cannabis regulations.
- Assist with training and developing employees on store operations, products, customer service, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and ensure required employee meal periods and rest breaks are provided during assigned shifts.
- Execute and oversee opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Monitor cash-handling practices and ensure employees follow established point-of-sale and cash-management procedures.
- Assist with cash counts, register accountability, and other cash-management responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain awareness of store security and safety procedures and immediately escalate concerns when necessary.
- Support inventory accuracy, merchandising, restocking, and product organization.
- Ensure the sales floor, reception areas, and other assigned areas remain clean, organized, and presentable.
- Communicate operational issues and team concerns to the General Manager or other designated members of management.
- Support achievement of store sales, customer service, and operational goals.
- Perform additional assignments, projects, and duties as directed by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or key-holder experience in a retail or service environment strongly preferred.
- Previous cannabis retail experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, motivational, and team-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to coach and provide constructive feedback professionally and respectfully.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to resolve customer and employee concerns calmly and professionally.
- Ability to work independently and make appropriate operational decisions when acting as Manager on Duty.
- Strong understanding of customer service and retail operations.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet all legal age and eligibility requirements for employment in a licensed California cannabis retail business.
- Must be willing and able to work at either the Oakland or Richmond location based on business needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.
Compensation
$20.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
