This internship will immerse you in all facets of Cheyenne Mountain State Park operations. You will spend time shadowing and assisting park staff, including park rangers, maintenance technicians, and naturalists. You will take on a major role in Cheyenne Mountain’s volunteer program, assisting with volunteer communications and administration. You will also spend some time helping to run our Visitor Center, where you will assist customers and learn more about how Colorado Parks and Wildlife works.
This role will require both field and office work.

Assist park naturalists with educational programs

Shadow officers on ride-alongs

Attend park events both on and off property

Assist in managing Cheyenne Mountain State Park’s Terrain Hopper mobility access program

Answer questions about park resources, local wildlife, hunting/fishing and general area information

Answer incoming calls, handle inquiries, and/or direct to appropriate staff.

Sell hunting licenses, register OHVs/Snowmobiles/Boats, etc.
