Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Rental Equipment Shop Helper to assist with the daily operations of our equipment rental yard and shop. This position involves cleaning, inspecting, organizing, and preparing equipment for customer rentals and returns. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining equipment, and works well in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare equipment for rental and customer pickup.
- Inspect returned equipment for damage and report maintenance needs.
- Assist mechanics and technicians with basic shop tasks.
- Load and unload equipment safely.
- Organize and maintain the shop, yard, and storage areas.
- Help customers with equipment loading and unloading as needed.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance, including checking fluids, tire pressure, and batteries.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
