Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Independent Contractor Massage Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will deliver personalized massage treatments to clients, focusing on their unique needs and health goals. You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills in various massage techniques, including deep tissue and trigger point therapy, to help clients manage pain, improve mobility, and experience profound relaxation. Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to each client’s specific concerns and preferences
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and techniques
- Apply advanced massage modalities such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other therapeutic methods
- Educate clients on pain management strategies, physiology, and anatomy relevant to their treatment
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, assessments, and client progress in compliance with licensing standards
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for every client by adhering to sanitation protocols
- Collaborate with clients to set realistic goals for their health and wellness journey
Experience
- Proven experience as a licensed massage therapist with a strong background in patient service and customer care
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage
- Skilled in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced techniques for pain relief and mobility improvement
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and med spa environments is preferred
- Prior experience with patient assessment and developing customized treatment plans is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients effectively about their health needs
