Job Overview
The Assembly Team Lead is responsible for providing hands-on leadership and daily oversight of assigned assembly operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and efficiency goals are consistently achieved. This role serves as a working leader who actively participates in assembly activities while coordinating personnel, workflow, materials, and resources to maximize productivity and maintain exceptional product quality.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive assembly experience, solid electrical wiring knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Duties
- Lead and supervise assembly team members to meet daily production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Review schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide assembly processes accurately
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify component dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications
- Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, soldering stations
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints for various manufacturing projects
- Conduct training sessions on the proper use of tools, safety protocols, and assembly techniques
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, quality checks, and inventory levels
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for efficient parts handling and storage solutions including forklift operation when necessary
- Ensure adherence to safety standards by enforcing proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in manufacturing or assembly environments with hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly experience
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering stations, and fabrication machinery
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong leadership skills with previous team supervision or lead roles in an assembly setting

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
