Location: Illinois (Travel Required)
We are seeking an experienced Regional Business Office Manager (Regional BOM) to support multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) throughout Illinois. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader with extensive experience in Illinois Medicaid, accounts receivable (AR), collections, and revenue cycle management.
The Regional BOM will partner closely with facility Business Office Managers (BOMs), providing hands-on training, mentoring, and operational support to improve cash collections, reduce AR aging, and strengthen overall financial performance.
Travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout Illinois to support Business Office operations.
Train, coach, and mentor Business Office Managers and business office staff.
Analyze AR aging reports and develop action plans to improve collections.
Monitor key revenue cycle metrics and ensure timely billing and collections.
Provide guidance on Illinois Medicaid eligibility, billing, and reimbursement processes.
Collaborate with facility leadership to identify barriers and implement best practices.
Assist with month-end close, cash collections, and revenue cycle initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and payer requirements.
Support facilities during leadership transitions, audits, and operational challenges.
Drive accountability and measurable improvements in AR performance.
5+ years of Business Office experience within Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care.
Multi-facility or regional Business Office leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of Illinois Medicaid regulations and reimbursement.
Proven success improving Accounts Receivable and collections performance.
Experience training, mentoring, and developing Business Office Managers.
Strong understanding of Medicare, Managed Care, billing, collections, and revenue cycle.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to travel extensively throughout Illinois.
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience is required.
Experience with PointClickCare, MatrixCare, or other long-term care EMR/billing systems is preferred.
Experience leading process improvement initiatives and driving financial results.
