We're seeking a dynamic General Manager who is passionate about hospitality, excels at building high-performing teams, and understands how to create an exceptional guest experience while delivering strong financial results.
Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and success of the hotel, including operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction, team development, sales support, revenue optimization, facilities, and community engagement.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being visible, coaching their team, engaging with guests, and continuously improving every aspect of the hotel experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day hotel operations while ensuring exceptional service and operational excellence.
- Foster a service culture focused on hospitality, accountability, teamwork, and genuine guest connections.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and retain outstanding department leaders and team members.
- Create memorable guest experiences through personalized service and proactive problem solving.
- Activate and maximize the use of public spaces to create an inviting atmosphere for both hotel guests and the local community.
- Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and all support departments.
- Drive revenue growth through collaboration with sales, marketing, and revenue management initiatives.
- Manage budgets, labor, forecasting, and expenses to achieve financial goals.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and property presentation.
- Build relationships within the Nashville community to strengthen the hotel's presence and reputation.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Provide regular operational and financial reporting to ownership.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel leadership experience, including General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and develop future leaders.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and P&L accountability.
- Demonstrated success improving guest satisfaction and operational performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Boutique or independent hotel experience.
- Food & Beverage operational experience.
- Experience leading property improvements, renovations, or repositioning efforts.
- Active involvement in the local hospitality or tourism community.
