Job Summary
AlaniCare is hiring reliable and compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home support to seniors and adults in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. We offer non-medical personal care services (assisting with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being). Responsibilities
- Help clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene)
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with mobility and safe transfers (e.g., bed to chair)
- Perform light housekeeping and home organization
- Give medication reminders
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or walks
- Document daily activities and any significant changes in clients' conditions
Qualifications
- A compassionate and dependable nature
- Prior caregiving experience, HHA or CNA license preferred, but not required
- Comfortable providing care in clients' private homes
- Reliable transportation & valid driver's license to travel to client's private home
- Physically capable of performing caregiving tasks
- CPR/First Aid certification a plus (or willingness to get certified)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass background screening
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be 18 or older

Pay: $16.00 per hour

- Please list which days of the week and times on those days that you would be available to perform caregiving shifts at our clients homes, please be as detailed as possible as our client's can have varying caregiving schedules and indicate if you are open to overnight shifts on those days. Also please tell us how many miles from your home you're willing to drive to perform caregiving work at our client's homes.
Here's an example answer: Mondays: 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM, Tuesdays: 12:00 AM – 11:59 PM (all day, including overnight), Wednesdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Thursdays: Not available, Fridays: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Saturdays: Open to overnight shifts, Sundays: Not available, Willing to drive up to 30 miles from my home.
