Job Title: Delivery Driver
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and customer-oriented Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing exceptional customer service. As a representative of the company, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety, honesty, and integrity are essential. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with receiving departments and warehouse management are required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate company vehicles safely to deliver products to customers.
· Load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling and secure transport (note: this is not a drop and hook position).
· Follow designated routes and adhere to delivery schedules.
· Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues.
· Verify delivery information, collect payments when necessary, document returns and obtain required signatures.
· Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any issues.
· Maintain cleanliness and perform basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
· Comply with all traffic regulations and company safety protocols.
· Assist in the warehouse with tasks such as order pulling, general cleaning, and labeling, as assigned by the warehouse manager during downtime.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of two years of driving experience in the Los Angeles area is preferred.
· Possess a valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
· Capable of lifting heavy packages and working in various weather conditions.
· Strong time management and organizational abilities.
· Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Participation in the DOT drug screening program is mandatory; Winneram enforces a zero-tolerance policy.
· Familiarity with navigation systems and Electronic DOT logs.
Work Schedule
· Monday to Friday 8:30-5:00pm (Saturday routes and OT as needed)
· San Diego and Fresno Routes start at 4am in the morning
· Physical requirements include lifting, bending, and extended periods of driving.
