Join our dynamic Non Emergency Medical Transportation team as an Office Clerk and Patient Transporter, where your energy and organizational skills will make a meaningful difference in patient care and office efficiency. The Office Clerk/Patient Transporter plays a dual role essential to the smooth operation of our Non‑Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services. This position supports daily office functions while also providing safe, timely, and compassionate transportation for clients traveling to medical appointments, treatments, and community services. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, customer‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
Duties
- Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and direct calls efficiently using phone etiquette
- Handle data entry tasks accurately using computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace.
- Maintain organized filing systems, proofread documents for accuracy, and ensure all administrative records are up-to-date
- Assist with office management duties such as calendar management, appointment scheduling, and supply inventory control
- Transport patients safely within the facility using proper procedures, ensuring comfort and adherence to safety protocols
- Support medical reception duties by managing patient check-in/check-out processes and verifying insurance or personal information
Skills
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, data entry, and office management software
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Exceptional customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and strong communication abilities
- Bilingual capabilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Clerical experience including filing, proofreading, calendar management, and record keeping is preferred
- Knowledge of medical or dental receptionist duties enhances your ability to support healthcare operations
- Personal assistant experience or office experience demonstrating time management and administrative competence is advantageous
