Title: Data Center Techician
MUST BE ABLE TO COVER following areas:
Ashburn, Leesburg, Sterling, Manassas, VA
Start: Immediate
Length: On-going contract/Contract to Hire
Pay: W2 - weekly based on experience
Experience:
Job Duties:
- Pull, route, label and terminate cable (fiber optic experience a plus)
- Install and terminate low voltage and fiber optic cable
- Install cable racks, j-hooks, inner duct, and other related structures
- Install servers, switches, PDUs into server racks according to specifications
- Install ladder racks, networking equipment and telephone equipment
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of cabling
- Ensure job site is clean at the end of shift
- Work in a quick and efficient manner
- Follow safety and security procedures
Requirements:
- Candidates will have experience with telecommunication cabling infrastructure, installation, troubleshooting, testing
- Preferred candidates will have experience in data center environments
- Experience installing and dressing cables
- Knowledge of industry standard cable specs
- Must be able to lift 50lbs+
- Must have basic hand tools
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience installing network cabling
- Ability to follow blueprints/schematics
- Ability to take direction from management and keep tasks within timeline
- Own basic hand tools and safety gear required
- Experience with fiber pulling and terminating preferred
- Work on ladders/lifts as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
