Evolve Health Medical Assistant
Evolve Health is looking for a qualified and highly motivated individual to be our Medical Assistant. It requires strong communication skills, critical thinking, excellent customer service, an enthusiastic attitude, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and compassion for people with mental health diagnoses.
To ensure success, medical assistants should be confident and professional with fantastic interpersonal skills. Top candidates will work comfortably under pressure while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
Evolve Health provides medication management, intranasal Spravato™ for treatment-resistant depression, transcranial magnetic stimulation, as well as ketamine infusions for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
Responsibilities and Duties
The following includes most of the Medical Assistant's duties but is not limited to what is listed below. Discretion of the Clinical Director, Operations Manager, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner can always be invoked and adjusted at any time as required for patient care needs.
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
- Benefits and Eligibility verification
- Complete pre-scheduling screenings with patients
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
- Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations
- Answer phones in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist in rooming patients and turning over rooms
- Maintain a clean, organized environment
- Schedule patients and control patient flow to and from provider
- Collect, review, and enter patient information with accurate and timely documentation
- Collect vital signs
- Willingness to train in the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation under supervision of the on-site medical provider
- Monitor patients receiving treatments and respond to call bells
- Complete accurate documentation of patient visits
- Attend and participates in team meetings
- Follow policies and procedures and contribute to needed improvements.
- Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
- Work collaboratively in a team environment by professionally assisting providers, staff, visitors, and patients
- Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations
- Cross cover front desk for vacations

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
