Doane University, a liberal arts university in Crete, Nebraska, is hiring an Associate Director of Campus Engagement. The position serves as a member of the Campus Engagement team to provide leadership, strategic vision, and planning for a comprehensive portfolio of programs and services that drive co-curricular involvement for all Doane University students, with a focus on student organizations, fraternities and sororities.
The Associate Director supports the mission of the institution and the Division of Student Affairs; fosters the development of student organizations, Doane’s Greek system, their individual members and advisors; contributes to student leadership development and connection to the larger Doane community; promotes an active co-curricular experience for both residential (Crete campus) and nonresidential students (Lincoln campus and Omaha location), and; must possess a broad and deep understanding of national best practices, assessment findings and data-informed approaches to strengthen programs, services and organizational effectiveness. The Associate Director collaborates with multiple campus and community partners on all campuses to achieve these outcomes.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are mission-imperative areas in the Doane community, and the Associate Director should be a leader in promoting an inclusive and equitable environment. Co-curricular programs must model an environment that supports students of all identities, worldviews, and backgrounds, while actively identifying and eliminating systemic barriers that have created disparities in outcomes for underrepresented students.
