Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic High School Science Teacher to join our educational community. Responsibilities

- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, standardized tests, and formative evaluations; provide constructive feedback.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Incorporate laboratory experiments, dissections, and research activities to enhance practical understanding of scientific concepts.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, interdisciplinary projects, and school-wide initiatives.
- Mentor students academically and personally, offering guidance on higher education pathways and career opportunities in science.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance; ensure compliance with school policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to science education, instructional design, and educational technology.
- Support extracurricular science programs such as clubs, competitions, or community outreach initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in science disciplines are preferred.
- Proven classroom experience teaching high school science subjects; private school experience is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of scientific principles including biology (cell biology, genetics, microbiology), chemistry (organic chemistry), physics (geometry, trigonometry, calculus), and mathematics (algebra, differential equations).
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures, dissection techniques, research laboratory experience, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency with learning technology platforms and instructional design tools to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, standardized testing preparation, and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for working with students from diverse backgrounds and collaborating with staff.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an engaging learning environment.
- Knowledge of special education needs and behavior management strategies is desirable.

Pay: $61,444.57 - $90,000.00 per year
