Position Overview
Korman is seeking a warm, polished, and highly dependable Client Experience & Showroom Support Associate to help create an exceptional experience for every client who visits or contacts the Jewel House.
This position serves as one of the first points of contact for clients, both in person and by telephone, while supporting the daily flow, presentation, and organization of the showroom. Responsibilities combine customer service, reception, jewelry repair coordination, luxury hospitality, showroom presentation, and general sales-team support.
The successful candidate will be personable, detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to assist wherever needed. This individual must take equal pride in welcoming an important client, accurately checking in a jewelry repair, preparing a showroom for an appointment, restocking supplies, or completing the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep the store operating smoothly.
This is not a commission-based sales position. It is a client service and support role that helps Korman’s sales and service professionals provide an attentive, polished, and seamless experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client Reception and Communication
- Welcome clients and visitors warmly and create a polished first impression.
- Determine the purpose of each client’s visit and connect them with the appropriate sales, service, or leadership team member.
- Answer and monitor incoming telephone calls, voicemails, and text messages.
- Respond to inquiries promptly, accurately, and professionally.
- Take detailed messages and ensure requests are directed to the appropriate team member.
- Maintain awareness of scheduled appointments, client pickups, repairs, and showroom activity.
- Keep clients informed when they are waiting for assistance or additional information.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding clients, purchases, pricing, and high-value merchandise.
Jewelry Repair Support
- Check in jewelry repairs accurately and in accordance with Korman’s established procedures.
- Record client information, item descriptions, requested services, condition details, and other required documentation.
- Clearly explain repair intake and service procedures to clients within the scope of the position.
- Ensure repairs are properly documented, labeled, secured, and transferred to the appropriate team member.
- Monitor repair-related communications and help keep clients informed of status updates.
- Coordinate the pickup or delivery of completed jewelry repairs.
- Confirm that required documentation and client information are complete before releasing merchandise.
- Escalate technical questions, service concerns, or discrepancies to the appropriate team member.
Showroom Hospitality and Client Experience
- Provide thoughtful hospitality consistent with a luxury retail environment.
- Prepare and serve approved beverages, cakes, treats, and other client amenities.
- Set up and refresh hospitality for appointments, VIP visits, bridal consultations, and events.
- Anticipate client and sales-team needs while maintaining a calm and gracious environment.
- Prepare appointment spaces and ensure they are clean, organized, and client-ready.
- Assist with client gift bags, thank-you gifts, favors, and branded presentation items.
- Help ensure that each client feels acknowledged, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the visit.
Showroom Presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, polished, and guest-ready showroom throughout the day.
- Monitor display cases, counters, seating areas, consultation rooms, hospitality areas, entryways, and restrooms.
- Clean glass showcases, mirrors, counters, door handles, display surfaces, and other client-facing areas.
- Ensure jewelry is straight, properly spaced, and attractively presented within display cases.
- Reset trays, pads, displays, props, signage, seating areas, and consultation spaces following appointments.
- Refresh decorative details such as flowers, candles, seasonal displays, and other showroom elements.
- Notify management when lighting, furniture, fixtures, supplies, displays, or showroom areas require attention.
Sales and Service Team Support
- Support the sales and service teams with day-to-day client and showroom needs.
- Keep jewelry boxes, bags, tissue, ribbon, packaging, and branded presentation supplies stocked and organized.
- Assist with gift wrapping, packaging, client pickups, and preparation of items for presentation.
- Help sales professionals prepare for client appointments and special occasions.
- Restock hospitality, showroom, packaging, office, and client-service supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels for drinks, treats, napkins, glassware, plates, serving items, and related supplies.
- Communicate client questions, messages, and requests promptly to the appropriate team member.
- Assist with general administrative or operational support as assigned.
Events and Store Operations
- Assist with setup and breakdown for private events, trunk shows, designer appearances, and special occasions.
- Prepare hospitality areas, appointment spaces, client gifts, event materials, and showroom details.
- Support showroom opening and closing presentation standards.
- Help maintain clean and organized hospitality, storage, supply, and common areas.
- Wash and put away glassware, dishes, and hospitality items.
- Remove trash, replenish supplies, and complete other routine tasks needed to maintain the store.
- Serve as a flexible support resource during busy periods, events, and special projects.
Qualifications
- At least one year of customer service, reception, hospitality, retail, restaurant, hotel, event, or other client-facing experience is preferred.
- Fine jewelry, luxury retail, high-end hospitality, or jewelry repair intake experience is strongly preferred but not required.
- Warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and consistent in following through.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and changing priorities throughout the day.
- Comfortable answering telephones and communicating with clients in person, by email, and through text messaging.
- Ability to accurately document client information and detailed descriptions of high-value merchandise.
- Proactive and willing to complete both client-facing and behind-the-scenes support responsibilities.
- Comfortable working around high-value jewelry and confidential client information.
- Ability to remain composed, discreet, and professional in a busy luxury retail environment.
- Basic computer, data-entry, and math skills.
- Ability to learn Korman’s systems, jewelry repair procedures, service standards, and basic product terminology.
- Availability to work Saturdays, select evenings, holidays, and special events based on business needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout the showroom for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, clean display surfaces, restock supplies, and complete routine showroom-support tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes, supplies, dishes, beverages, and event materials as needed.
- Ability to safely handle glassware, serving items, packaging supplies, and merchandise according to company procedures.

Schedule
This is a full-time, in-person position.
Korman operates Monday through Saturday, with typical working hours between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 or 6:30 p.m. Team members generally work Saturdays and receive a scheduled weekday off.
Some evening, holiday, and special-event availability may be required based on business needs. The final schedule and regular day off will be reviewed during the interview process.
Compensation and Benefits
- $23 to $27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
