Responsibilities:
- Perform complex setups and operate CNC and/or manual machines including mills, lathes, grinders, and specialty equipment.
- Program or edit CNC programs (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, etc.) and optimize tool paths, speeds, and feeds.
- Machine complex or tight-tolerance parts requiring expert judgment and problem-solving.
- Recommend tooling, fixtures, and process changes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Assign daily tasks, set priorities and coordinate workflow to ensure production schedules and deadlines are met
- Act as primary point of contact between machinists, supervisors and engineering
- Perform advanced inspections using micrometers, height gauges, indicators, bore gauges, optical equipment, and/or CMM tools.
- Troubleshoot machining issues
- Support First Article Inspections and review machining documentation for accuracy.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and assist in identifying equipment requiring repair or calibration.
Qualifications
- At least seven years previous machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Expert proficiency in CNC and/or manual machining setups, operations, and advanced machining practices.
- Strong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D models.
- Proven experience mentoring or guiding other machinists in production settings.
- CNC programming experience with Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, or similar systems.
- Experience machining exotic alloys or high complexity components.
- Experience in ISO 9001, AS9100, or other regulated environments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience designing fixtures or work holding devices.
Hours are
Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm
The pay is up to $40.00 an hour
