Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Preschool Level Gymnastics Coach to inspire young children through engaging gymnastics activities. Duties
- Lead preschool gymnastics classes with lively, age-appropriate instruction that encourages participation and enjoyment
- Design creative lesson plans that incorporate fundamental gymnastics skills, balance, coordination, and basic tumbling techniques
- Ensure a safe environment by supervising children closely and adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Use positive behavior management strategies to foster good conduct and cooperation among young students
- Communicate progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians about their child's development and achievements
- Maintain equipment safety checks and ensure the cleanliness of the gym area before and after classes
- Incorporate elements of other sports such as cheerleading, climbing, martial arts, or swimming when appropriate to diversify activities
Skills
- Prior experience in sports coaching, teaching, or childcare with a focus on early childhood development
- Knowledge of gymnastics fundamentals suitable for preschool-aged children
- Background in teaching physical education or working with young students in a gym or health club setting
- Experience with behavior management techniques to maintain a positive class environment
- Familiarity with martial arts disciplines such as Karate or Judo is a plus for integrating diverse movement skills
- Ability to demonstrate skills in swimming, climbing, cheerleading, basketball or other related activities to enrich class offerings
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
