Job Summary
Southeast Spine and Pain Associates is seeking an organized, empathetic, and detail-oriented New Patient Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking our care, guiding them seamlessly through the onboarding process. You will manage incoming inquiries, verify insurance benefits, secure medical records, and foster strong relationships with our top referring providers to ensure excellent communication and a smooth patient experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Inquiry Management: Contact new patient leads promptly to initiate the onboarding process.
- Insurance Verification: Verify that patient insurance plans are active and accepted by our practice.
- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule initial consultations for new patients.
- Records Management: Request and secure necessary supporting medical records prior to appointments.
- Referral Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with primary referring medical offices.
- Team Support: Assist administrative staff with ongoing insurance verifications and records processing.
Schedule & Environment
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Setting: This is a fully in-office position.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with health insurance verification and medical terminology preferred.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with patients and external medical staff.
Compensation & Benefits
