Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. We have many positions available. Duties
- -Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- -Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling instructions to prevent accidents or contamination
- -Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial equipment to maintain floor care standards including buffing, polishing, and stripping floors
- -Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of carpets, windows, and hard surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards
- -Reporting larger issues to maintenance teams
- -Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of supplies or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices
- -Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of chemicals and equipment

Experience
- -Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings
- -Familiarity with cleaning procedures for both residential and industrial environments
- -Experience operating floor buffers and performing various floor care techniques
- -Knowledge of chemical agent handling, safety procedures, and proper disposal methods
- -Background in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous
- -Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to ergonomic practices
- -Prior experience with commercial cleaning tools and custodial equipment is preferred
