Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate different types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring that all items are securely loaded for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning of the vehicle.
- Navigate efficiently to various delivery locations, utilizing GPS or maps as needed.
- Assist in moving items as required at delivery sites.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating box trucks and vans is highly desirable.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
- Experience using pallet jacks or similar equipment is beneficial.
