Director of Litigation or Litigation Associate
Small employment law firm in Maryland seeks an Employment/Wage and Hour Litigation Associate with 3-6 years of experience or more. The firm handles both Plaintiff and Defense cases. The position may also involve a minimal amount of general civil litigation. The applicant must have previous litigation experience, excellent research and writing skills, and be admitted to the Maryland bar and admitted or eligible to waive into the District of Columbia bar. The applicant must also have good communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus. Leadership opportunities.

Position and Compensation
- Position: Full-Time Experienced Litigation Attorney
- Practice Area: Employment Law and Civil Litigation
- Location: Rockville, Maryland, with matters in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid or remote work may be considered. The attorney must be available for in-person court appearances, depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and client meetings when required. First Chair experience.
- Base Salary: $105,000–$145,000 annually, based on the candidate’s relevant litigation experience, demonstrated ability to independently manage cases, bar admissions, writing ability, courtroom experience, and employment-law background.
- Additional Compensation: Additional Compensation: After six months of employment, the attorney may be considered for a discretionary performance bonus. Bonus eligibility, amount, and payment will be determined by the firm based on factors that may include individual performance, quality of work, case management, productivity, client service, compliance with firm policies, and the firm’s overall financial performance. A bonus is not guaranteed.

The Spencer Firm has established the compensation range in good faith based on the responsibilities of the position, the firm’s current compensation budget, and the qualifications reasonably expected for the role.
