Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their style preferences and recommend suitable apparel and accessories
- Provide personalized styling advice and product demonstrations to showcase new arrivals and seasonal collections
- Assist with merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-stocked
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage stock levels through stocking, inventory checks, and product replenishment to maintain an appealing shopping environment
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments
- Supervise team members when needed, supporting training efforts and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are met
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in fashion or apparel environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience in product demos, merchandising, and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous but not required; a background in customer service is essential
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
