Job Summary
Gulf Shrimp Company is looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Retail Associate to join our team! We’re a family-owned seafood company looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, staying busy, and being part of a fast-paced team.
Duties
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service
- Assist customers with seafood selections and product questions
- Weigh, package, and label fresh and frozen seafood
- Operate the register and accurately handle transactions
- Stock and organize displays, freezers, and retail products
- Keep counters, work areas, and the sales floor clean and organized
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper seafood-handling procedures
- Help with opening, daily, and closing responsibilities
- Assist with other tasks as needed to keep the store running smoothly
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, positive, and comfortable working with customers
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to learn about seafood and our products
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting boxes/products as needed
- Retail, customer service, or food-service experience is helpful but not required — we’re happy to train the right person!
Schedule
Part-time position
Availability between 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
Opening Shift: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Closing Shift: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Saturday availability is strongly preferred.
