Position Summary
The Senior Accountant supports the Accounting Manager by performing key accounting functions essential to accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency. This role is critical in the monthly close process, account reconciliations, internal control execution, and day-to-day financial operations. In addition, the Senior Accountant will actively participate in process improvements, ERP system enhancements, and cross-functional projects using Agile principles. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong in GAAP, and able to collaborate effectively in a fast-growing, evolving organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & General Accounting

Execute daily accounting activities, including journal entries, AP/AR support, bank postings, reconciliations, and fixed asset maintenance.

Perform account reconciliations across key balance sheet and operational accounts with timely resolution of discrepancies.

Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Review daily invoices posted by AP personnel and ensure accuracy.

Perform analysis of lease portfolio and assist with ASC 842 compliance, including calculations and transition entries.

Support preparation of internal management reports, variance analyses, and financial schedules.

Maintain documentation of accounting procedures and ensure internal control compliance.
Overall Accounting Support

Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting policies, processes, and internal controls aligned with GAAP.

Prepare audit support schedules and manage requests during external audits.

Support consolidation activities and ensure data integrity across systems and reporting tools.

Participate in due diligence preparation by providing accurate financial schedules and analysis when needed.
Process Improvement & Agile System Enhancements

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows across the accounting function.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile projects to define accounting requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Participate in sprint planning and provide feedback during UAT testing for ERP enhancements and automation initiatives.

Contribute to the development of standardized templates, reporting structures
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance

CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.

5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or growth-stage environment.

Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.

Strong understanding of lease accounting.

Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

Familiarity with Agile methodology and ability to work in iterative development cycles; preferably with experience in AP automation implementation and other accounting process transformations.

Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
