Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Outpatient Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality outpatient psychotherapy services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavior management, and psychodynamic therapy.
- Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using modalities like behavioral therapy, social work interventions, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and Christian counseling when appropriate.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques, crisis management protocols, and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, medical records, and billing information following clinical ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with case managers, medical professionals, educators, and families to coordinate care for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient settings; experience with inpatient or hospital environments is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Skilled in various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy for PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations; experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies; experience working with co-occurring disorders is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions; familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms is advantageous.

Pay: $50.00 - $90.00 per hour
