Position Overview: As a Night Auditor / Front Desk Agent, you serve as the primary overnight representative of Basin Park Hotel. This role blends guest service, front desk operations, and daily financial auditing. You will ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests while completing nightly accounting tasks, preparing reports, and maintaining smooth hotel operations during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with Computers: Utilize computer systems and software to handle reservations, check-ins, and guest data entry efficiently. The program functions to ensure smooth operations at the front desk.
- Getting Information: Gather relevant information from multiple sources to assist guests with inquiries, provide local recommendations, and address concerns effectively.
- Performing for or Working Directly with the Public: Interact directly with guests, ensuring a welcoming and professional demeanor while addressing their needs during check-ins, check-outs, and throughout their stay.
- Making Decisions and Solving Problems: Analyze guest requests, assess room availability, and resolve issues promptly to provide optimal solutions and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates: Provide clear and concise information to supervisors and colleagues through various mediums, including telephone, email, and in-person communication, ensuring efficient operations and guest satisfaction.
- Daily Reconciliation — Balance and verify all daily transactions, payments, adjustments, and room charges.
- Accuracy Verification — Confirm room revenue, ADR, occupancy, comps, adjustments, and payment totals match system records.
Requirements:
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using computer systems, software applications, and hardware relevant to hotel operations. Prior experience with reservation software is a plus.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for providing exceptional customer service to guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to analyze information swiftly, make informed decisions, and resolve issues efficiently to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with guests, team members, and management.
