Medical Assistant
Job Summary: Woburn Nephrology Associates is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant. We are a five-physician practice that is committed to providing excellent care to our patients in a friendly environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities include clinical and administrative work
- Check in and escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vitals, document necessary information in patients’ chart
- Ensure related reports, labs, and information is filled out and available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
- Check out patients and schedule follow up appointments
- Orient and train new MA’s when requested
- Address patient labs as directed by providers
- Assist in obtaining necessary PA for imaging studies and medications
- Assist physicians with patient calls
- Handle referrals in and out of department collaboratively with administrative leads when assistance requested

- Demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others
- Be able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible
- Demonstrate skills in answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
- Demonstrate reliability and integrity in their work
Education:
· High school education or equivalent substitute/GED
· Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Experience:
· minimum 2 years prior MA experience desired
· working knowledge of EPIC plus
