We are a Human Services facility currently in search of; compassionate, energetic, team oriented, and self-motivated individuals to fill the dual role of Head of Service/Clinical Therapist position. Our goal is to provide short-term diagnostic stabilization and Trauma Informed Care (TIC) for at risk youth in the foster care system. Description / Responsibilities:
- Psychosocial assessments - Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
- Provide group, individuals, family therapy - Deliver individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and behavioral management
- Be self-motivated, creative and innovative
- Appraisal & Needs (have social worker sign and meet with them)
- Monthly Progress Reports (staff assignment and social worker)
- Contacts with County Social Worker Monthly, CFT meetings
- Consult with Administrators, Facility Managers
- Task Analysis/ Treatment Plan for specific identified problems
- Talk with staff daily about behaviors, social skills and plan of actions, i.e. contracts, etc.
- Quarterly Reports
- Case Management duties as assigned
- Clinical Team member weekly treatment team meetings
- Medi-Cal services and documentation
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as required by state law (e.g., APCC, AMFT, ACSW, LCSW, LPCC, LMFT).
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art or dance therapy, or related fields.
- Interested in working with adolescents, those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or PTSD.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention and crisis management protocols with the ability to handle high-pressure situations confidently.
- Experience with medical documentation systems ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards for patient privacy and data security.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnostic coding systems for accurate clinical documentation and billing processes. .
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient intake assessments and collaborative team interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
