Emplify Health by Bellin is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team! You will partner with the HRM Director, HRM Team Leader and leaders to align organizational and human resources strategies. Work closely with leadership providing support to identify issues, and develop and implement possible solutions as leaders manage/lead their staff providing expertise in all area of human capital management. Responsible for establishing the employment process for Bellin Health. Provides consultation services to leaders on compensation, recruitment, employment, employee relations, legal compliance, benefits, and human resource policies/practices. Remain current on all laws and regulations affecting employment and benefit practices.

FTE Status: 1.00 FTE (40 hours/week)

Bachelor’s degree required with course emphasis in human resource management preferred.
WI RN license required if position requirement in hiring.
Two to five years of experience in human resources or related field required.
GENERAL
- Uses various computer programs to prepare, maintain, and update documents
- Greets and assists customers
- Manages special projects, as needed
- Answers various forms of communication responding to requests for information or referring inquiries appropriately.
- Provides input to updating human resource documents, as needed.
RECRUITMENT/EMPLOYMENT
- Establishes the recruiting and hiring practice and procedure to recruit and hire a superior workforce
- Coordinates recruitment process working with leaders to determine open position qualifications researching and recommending sources for active recruiting; screening applicants utilizing leader input; interviews/coordinates interview process and in collaboration with leader, makes job offer beginning employment process
- Reviews requisition for open position for accuracy, contacting leader if needed
- Informs job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, and/or promotion opportunities
- Coordinates assessment process, sending invite to applicant, scoring, and sending to leader
- Assists leader with sign-on bonus for new employees, if applicable
- Closes out open position by contacting appropriate applicants and documenting interview notes in the applicant tracking system
- Reviews status changes, making appropriate changes as needed
COMMUNICATION
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationship with HRM staff utilizing individual skills to establish and maintain a high performance team
- Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with Leadership using various communication methods to provide excellent services and enhance the image of the HRM team
- Provides positive working relationships with all internal and external customers to ensure Bellin is perceived in a positive manner
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
- Works with leader in decision-making process during disciplinary and termination process assisting in conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigation utilizing Bellin policies/practices and government regulations
- Works with employee who has brought forth a complaint relating to job, environment, harassment, etc., ensuring an effective, thorough, and objective investigation is conducted, utilizing Bellin policies/practices and government regulations
- Works with leaders as needed in providing guidance with department employee concerns
- Advises HRM Director and/or Team Leader of progressive discipline steps with employees, as needed
- Involves HRM Director and/or Team Leader of all decision involving termination of employee, working with legal consultants as needed
- Is an expert in internal policies, practices, and procedures related to employment with ability to act as consultant to leaders and HRM staff
- Is an expert in the knowledge of HRM employment-related legal regulations (EEO, ADA, etc.) pertaining to day-to-day operations reducing risk and ensuring compliance
- Is an expert in legal regulations/laws, and internal policies/practices concerning employee personnel actions, providing input to Leadership, HRM staff, and employees; working with legal consultants as needed
- Responsible for process in creating and maintaining employee files and HRM filing system, prepares and/or maintains employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, promotions, etc.
- Responsible for the development of new employee orientation program; and annual mandatories with input from HRM staff
- Promotes health care careers
- Works with leaders in development or revision of job descriptions
- Is a member of the HRM team providing information to new employees at time of orientation
- Participates in and utilizes compensation surveys analyzing results for possible specific position application and determines impact on current staff and organization
- Participates in the annual increase process
- Is an expert in understanding compensation philosophy/practices in applying new employee wage and/or adjustments to current employees with ability to explain to leaders, employees, and applicants
- Works with HRM Director and Team Leader in development of HRM strategic plan
- Partners with leaders to align organizational and human resource strategies
- Provides leadership to HRM staff
- Responsible for the development of Human Resource documents as needed with input from HRM staff
- Provides input to leadership development and succession management process
- Takes responsibility, in partnership with Leadership, for development, implementation, distribution, and administration of policies and procedures, making appropriate changes, as needed
- Responsible for the development of human resource documents, with input from HRM staff
- Provides age-appropriate care/service as applicable to role
- Assures reliable, predictable outcomes and no needless waits
- Uses Information Systems to their full capability
- Duties as defined by specific department (if applicable)
- Attends regularly-scheduled and assigned shifts
