Project Manager / Estimator – Glass & Glazing

AMG Glass is seeking a detail-oriented and highly accountable Project Manager / Estimator to oversee projects from bid through closeout. This role is responsible for estimating glass and glazing work, managing awarded projects, coordinating field operations, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who understands both the technical and financial sides of glass projects and can operate independently while collaborating with ownership, vendors, and installation teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Pre-Construction
· Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents for glass and glazing scope
· Perform takeoffs and prepare accurate estimates for storefront systems, curtain wall, shower doors, mirrors, and specialty glass
· Solicit and evaluate vendor and supplier pricing
· Prepare clear, professional proposals and scope clarifications
· Identify risk items, exclusions, and assumptions
· Support value engineering and alternate pricing as needed
Project Management
· Manage projects from contract award through final closeout
· Develop project budgets, schedules, and procurement plans
· Coordinate shop drawings, submittals, material ordering, and lead times
· Act as primary point of contact with GCs, owners, and internal teams
· Track job costs, labor, and materials against budget
· Prepare change order pricing and documentation
· Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contract requirements
Field & Operations Coordination
· Coordinate with installers, subcontractors, and suppliers
· Conduct site visits to verify conditions and progress as needed
· Resolve field issues and installation challenges proactively
· Support scheduling and manpower planning with operations leadership
Financial & Administrative
· Assist with project billing, pay applications, and closeout documentation
· Review invoices and vendor bills for accuracy
· Track project cash flow and margins
· Maintain organized project files and documentation
· Support leadership with reporting on active projects, backlog, and forecasts
Qualifications
· 7+ years' experience in glass, glazing, storefront, etc.. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE GLASS INDUSTRY
· Experience estimating and managing commercial and/or residential glass projects
· Strong understanding of glass systems, hardware, and installation methods
· Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
· Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growing environment
Preferred Skills
· Experience with glass estimating, or similar construction software
· Experience working directly with general contractors
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
