Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations.
- Observe residents closely for changes in health or behavior, including patient observation and patient monitoring.
- Prepare nutritious meals, assist with meal planning, and ensure proper food handling and safety standards are maintained.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.
- Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, resident progress, and incident reports to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is advantageous.
- Ability to perform patient personal care assistance with compassion and professionalism.
- Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in medication administration or HIPAA compliance is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with patient transfer methods; manual handling experience is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays supports success in this role.

Pay: $22.37 - $26.93 per hour
