Work July and August from 8 am -noon. Join our dedicated team as a Success By Six Tutor, a vital part of our early childhood education initiative designed to foster developmental growth and learning readiness in young children. In this paid role, you will provide engaging, supportive, and educational experiences for preschool-aged children, helping to build foundational skills that set the stage for lifelong success. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire children and empower families, making a meaningful difference in their early learning journeys.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development and learning through play-based activities.
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and support diverse learning styles.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions focused on literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and school readiness.
- Manage classroom environments effectively by maintaining positive behavior, encouraging participation, and ensuring safety.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to support children's individual needs and communicate progress regularly.
- Incorporate special education strategies when working with children who have additional learning needs or disabilities.
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and program goals, ensuring engaging and meaningful experiences for children.
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Licensure
- Prior experience in classroom management, tutoring, teaching, or childcare within early childhood or preschool settings.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment techniques tailored for young learners.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools used in educational environments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is preferred.
- Background in early childhood education or preschool experience is highly desirable.
