12-Month Act 93 Position
The McKeesport Area School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educational leader to serve as Assistant High School Principal. This position assists the High School Head Principal in providing instructional leadership, supervising daily school operations, fostering a positive school climate, and supporting student achievement.
Pennsylvania Principal Certification required.
Master's Degree in Education or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience.
Knowledge of instructional leadership, curriculum implementation, supervision, and staff evaluation.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative leadership skills.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
The Assistant High School Principal will:
Assist in the daily operation of the high school, ensuring a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment.
Support student discipline, attendance, and building management.
Supervise and evaluate professional and support staff as assigned.
Collaborate with staff to improve instruction and increase student achievement through the use of data.
Assist with curriculum implementation and instructional programming.
Coordinate school schedules, classroom assignments, and daily building operations.
Foster positive relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners.
Address parent and community concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Support intervention and remediation efforts to improve student success.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the school.
Attend faculty meetings, professional development, school functions, evening activities, and weekend events as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the High School Head Principal.
